Interim Legal Counsel Contract Opportunity

We are partnering with an innovative, high-growth operational business to secure an Interim Legal Counsel for a flexible contract. The client is open to considering candidates on either a full-time or part-time basis, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor looking for their next project, or a professional seeking a high-quality flexible arrangement.

The position reports directly into the senior legal leadership and offers a broad, fast-paced remit with a healthy balance of core commercial work and strategic project involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial & Procurement Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements. You will work closely with supply chain and procurement teams on complex equipment, IT, and operational supplier agreements, as well as supporting marketing, sales, and strategic commercial partnerships.
  • Project Support: Act as a key legal adviser on the business’s growth and commercial project pipeline, providing pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice to help achieve corporate objectives while effectively managing legal risk.
  • Advise on wider operational matters as they arise, with opportunities to pick up work spanning data protection, privacy, corporate governance, and employment law depending on business needs.
  • Legal Operations & Innovation: Support the General Counsel with internal process improvements, including the refinement of standard terms and precedents, and the evaluation or roll-out of legal technology initiatives.
  • Horizon Scanning: Conduct legal research across a variety of practice areas to keep the business compliant and ahead of industry developments, ensuring best practice is shared across the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
