About the Opportunity
A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced contractor to support its loans product team on leveraged finance transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in the review, negotiation and coordination of side letters associated with syndicated loan transactions, working closely with business stakeholders, legal teams and external counsel.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer or documentation specialist with strong familiarity with LMA-style loan documentation who is looking to work in a highly collaborative, transaction-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review side letters relating to leveraged finance and occasional investment-grade lending transactions.
- Analyse facility agreement provisions and identify restrictions relating to derivatives, participations, transfers and related financing structures.
- Coordinate comments and feedback between business, legal and external counsel teams.
- Escalate documentation issues, deviations and interpretative questions where appropriate.
- Track and maintain sponsor-specific positions, precedent language and internal guidance materials.
- Support execution and completion of transaction documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of transaction-specific restrictions and obligations within internal tracking systems.
- Act as a central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of documentation workstreams.

Experience Required
- Qualified lawyer with experience of syndicated loan transactions.
- Strong understanding of LMA documentation and leveraged finance deal structures.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating ancillary transaction documents, side letters and amendments.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive documentation processes to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.

Contract Details
- Initial 12-month contract
- Competitive day rate
- Hybrid working arrangement
- London-based role
