Pearse Professionals are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed software business on the appointment of an Interim M&A Director to lead an active buy-and-build agenda. Following significant investment, the business is executing an ambitious acquisition strategy and needs a senior, hands-on M&A leader to drive deals from origination through to completion and integration.

The mandate

  • Own the end-to-end M&A process: pipeline development, origination, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation and execution
  • Lead financial and commercial due diligence, working closely with advisers and the investor
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO and PE sponsor to shape and prioritise the acquisition roadmap
  • Drive post-deal integration planning to protect and realise value

What you'll bring

  • A strong track record executing buy-side M&A, ideally within a PE-backed and/or buy-and-build environment
  • Software / technology sector experience (SaaS a distinct advantage)
  • The credibility to operate with boards, investors and advisers, and the pace to deliver on an interim basis
  • Availability to start at short notice
