Interim Payroll Manager (ADP) - Teddington - up to £300 per day - 3 Month Contract

The Role

An experienced Payroll Manager is required on an interim basis to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function for a business based in Teddington. This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running on ADP following a system migration, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery while providing cover/support through a period of transition. Ideal for an immediately available or short-notice payroll professional comfortable working autonomously from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll using ADP for the full employee population
  • Manage starters, leavers, salary changes, and benefits amendments
  • Ensure full compliance with PAYE, NIC, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies prior to submission
  • Act as first point of contact for payroll queries from employees and managers
  • Liaise with HR and Finance to ensure accurate data flow into payroll
  • Produce month-end payroll reporting and journals for the finance team
  • Support year-end payroll processes (P60s, P11Ds if applicable)
  • Identify and flag any process improvements or risk areas during the assignment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
