Interim Product Leader (SC104003)
Location: Wales (Hybrid) with frequent travel across the UK
Contract Duration: 12 months (Outside IR35)
We are supporting a private equity-backed consumer goods business undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. This Interim Product Leader role, reporting directly to the CEO, will lead the evolution of the product function by refining product strategy, strengthening governance and building a commercially focused, scalable product capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and refine the product strategy to support the business's commercial growth objectives.
- Build and embed a best-in-class product function, including governance and product management processes.
- Lead product portfolio optimisation, innovation and new product development.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept through to commercialisation.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to align product strategy with wider business goals.
- Provide executive leadership across all product-related activities during the interim assignment.

Candidate Profile

- Executive-level product leadership experience within a consumer goods business.
- A background in a growing, founder-led, private equity-backed or scale-up environment, with a hands-on approach.
- Expertise across the full product lifecycle, from innovation through to commercialisation.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced business.
- Previous private equity experience is advantageous but not essential.
