Interim Regional Director - Residential & Nursing Care
South West England | Immediate Start | 3-Month Interim Contract | Competitive Daily Rate
We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Regional Director to join a leading care provider, supporting a portfolio of residential and nursing services across the South West of England.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced operational leader who can hit the ground running, drive performance, and support Home Managers to deliver outstanding care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of residential and nursing homes.
- Manage agency usage, vacancies and P&L performance to ensure services operate efficiently.
- Oversee quality and compliance, validating that improvement actions have been completed and embedded.
- Support, coach and develop Home Managers to achieve operational and quality objectives.
- Conduct a monthly audit within each service, producing clear action plans and monitoring progress.
- Complete and oversee reports and internal systems, maintaining daily operational oversight across the region.
- Spend three days per week in services, with two dedicated administration days for reporting, analysis and strategic planning.

About You
- Proven experience in a Regional Director, Regional Manager or senior operational leadership role within residential and nursing care.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget and P&L management.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and quality governance.
- Experienced in driving service improvement, supporting managers and delivering positive outcomes.
- Available to start immediately.
