Interim Revenue Accountant
Revenue Accountant – 4 Month Contract (Hybrid)
£250 - £300 per day (Inside IR35) 4-month contract Hybrid – 2 days per week in Manchester city centre

Our client, a leader in the consulting industry, is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join their Global Financial Services (GFS) team for a temporary contract based in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
Process & Operations
- Assist with process transitions, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and documentation support for finance teams.
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal management, revenue-related schedule reviews, and report preparation.
- Actively identify and implement process enhancements, automation opportunities, and efficiency improvements.

Stakeholder & Team Engagement
- Work cross-functionally to support the central revenue recognition process, resolving queries and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, finance policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
- Flexibly adapt to evolving responsibilities as automation and efficiency initiatives evolve.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 3-5 years in general ledger or revenue accounting (preferably within order-to-cash operations).
- Qualified accountant status (chartered, CA, ACA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Personal Attributes
- A continuous improvement mindset with an eye for efficiency and automation opportunities.
- Proactive and solution-focused, with strong collaboration skills.
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Comfortable working with finance systems (e.g., Oracle—advantageous but not essential).
- Highly adaptable, open to ambiguity, and curious about challenging the status quo.
- Rapid learner, committed to professional development.
