QLM Search is partnering with a leading fresh food manufacturer to appoint an Interim Sales Director with responsibility for the Morrisons account.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will take full ownership of the Morrisons account, leading the commercial agenda whilst strengthening the relationship with key customer stakeholders.
Working closely with cross-functional teams across category, supply chain, operations, finance and technical, you will ensure outstanding customer service, identify opportunities for profitable growth and deliver against ambitious commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic and day-to-day management of the Morrisons account.
- Develop and execute the customer strategy, identifying opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability and strengthen the partnership.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Morrisons, acting as the executive sponsor for the account.
- Lead all commercial negotiations, including annual trading agreements, pricing, promotional plans and category reviews.
- Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain and technical teams to ensure exceptional service levels and operational delivery.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to support innovation, range reviews and new product launches.
- Deliver robust forecasting, budget management and commercial reporting.
- Lead and develop the customer team, creating a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience managing major UK grocery retailers, with demonstrable success leading the Morrisons account within a food manufacturing environment. You will have:

- A proven track record of delivering profitable growth with Morrisons.
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Experience within fresh, chilled or short shelf-life food categories.
- The ability to influence across commercial, operational and technical functions.
- A hands-on, delivery-focused approach with the credibility to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Previous experience in an interim, transformation or turnaround environment would be advantageous.
