Interim Structured Finance / Securitisation Lawyer (12-Month Contract)

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Contract Length: 12 months

Start Date: September 2026

The Opportunity

A leading fintech lender is seeking an interim lawyer to join its legal team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role will focus on supporting a broad range of structured finance and securitisation matters, working closely with stakeholders across the business and reporting directly into a senior member of the legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on securitisation and structured finance transactions.
  • Supporting ABS programmes, warehouse financing arrangements and related funding structures.
  • Assisting with transaction execution, documentation review and negotiation.
  • Providing day-to-day legal support to funding and capital markets teams.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel on strategic financing initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in securitisation, structured finance, ABS and/or warehouse financing.
  • Mid-level PQE preferred, although more senior candidates will be considered for the right experience.
  • Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Prior in-house or financial services experience beneficial but not essential.
