Job Opportunity – Interim Senior Procurement Officer (Adult Social Care Commissioning Team) – South of England
A local authority client of mine in the South of England are currently on the lookout for an Interim Senior Procurement Officer to join on an initial 6 month contract and focus on procuring predominantly within Adult Social Care Commissioning.

Days
5 days per week (could also consider minimum 3.5 days per week).
Earliest Start Date

Main Duties
- Running significant multi million pound procurements.
- Engaging into project boards with directors and high level financial officers and looking at options appraisals.
- Assisting service areas in undertaking effective supplier relationship management.
- Providing mentoring and support and as needed hands on operational support into Adult Social Care Contracting team.
- Very much a strategic and hands on position.
Candidates
- MCIPS (CIPS Level 6) qualified.
- Minimum 3 years public sector procurement experience (ideally for a local authority).
- Must have end to end procurement experience, experience with provider selection regimes and touch regimes.
- It is desired that candidates have experience procuring within Adult Social Care/Commissioning but this isn’t essential.
