Interim SHE Manager – 12 Month contract (INSIDE IR35)
Location: Dalston, Cumbria
Start: July/ASAP
Day rate: £400 per day (PAYE via Umbrella Inside IR35)
We are looking for an experienced Interim SHE Manager to join a well-established manufacturing site to cover for a maternity leave.
The site has a strong focus on maintaining and improving safety performance, compliance, and site leadership. There is also ongoing development of the SHE function and continued investment in site capability. The site is a key manufacturing operation within a high-investment production environment.

You will lead SHE across manufacturing, production, warehousing, and logistics, working closely with the Factory Manager and wider leadership team. A key focus will be supporting the continued development of the site’s SHE culture.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma (essential)
- Strong background in FMCG or manufacturing (engineering, logistics, warehousing also considered)
- Proven site leadership experience in a high-risk environment
- Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Strong knowledge of SHE compliance, risk management, and incident prevention
- Ability to lead and influence at all levels across a site
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused leadership style
- Ability to develop teams and build SHE capability across a site

Working pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
