Interim Transaction Management / Leveraged Finance Specialist

MLA is working on a unique interim opportunity with a leading global investment bank for a specialist to support a high-profile loans business. The bank is recognised as a market leader across leveraged finance, lending and structured products, offering professionals the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions within a highly collaborative environment.

This role sits at the intersection of leveraged finance, loan documentation and derivatives, making it well suited to a senior lawyer or transaction professional with strong exposure to LMA-based financing documentation.

Working closely with business, legal and external counsel teams, you will coordinate and manage side letter negotiations relating to leveraged finance transactions, ensuring alignment with lending and derivatives requirements.

Key requirements:

  • Firm understanding of GLP and Derivatives requirements for restrictions relating to CDS, TRS, other derivatives, sub-participations and similar transactions
  • Review facility agreement restrictions, external counsel advice and side letters against GLP and Derivatives requirements
  • Strong understanding of leveraged finance documentation (LMA standard)
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
  • Legal background preferred, although experienced transaction management professionals will also be considered
  • Exposure to CDS, TRS or other derivatives products is advantageous but not essential
