About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Design CAD Technician to join our Dubai studio. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our interior design team by producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings and documentation across all project stages.
Working closely with interior designers, project managers, and consultants, you will translate design concepts into detailed construction drawings that support the successful delivery of commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, and workplace interior projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed interior design CAD drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, joinery details, and construction details.
- Develop comprehensive drawing packages from concept through to tender and construction documentation.
- Prepare furniture layouts, finishes plans, lighting layouts, and detailed interior fit-out drawings.
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and mark-ups into accurate technical documentation.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist consultant information.
- Update drawings throughout the design process, incorporating client feedback, design revisions, and site information.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, UAE regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in preparing presentation drawings and technical documentation for client submissions.
- Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
- Maintain organized project files, drawing registers, and revision records.
- Identify and resolve drawing inconsistencies and coordination issues before documentation is issued.
- Work collaboratively with the wider design team to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in construction documentation.

Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience as an Interior Design CAD Technician, CAD Draftsperson, or Technical Designer.
- Experience working on hospitality, workplace, commercial, luxury residential, or retail interior fit-out projects.
- UAE or GCC project experience is highly desirable.
- Experience producing construction documentation for interior fit-out projects.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of interior fit-out detailing, joinery detailing, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E documentation, and interior construction methods.
- Understanding of UAE building regulations and interior fit-out standards.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary drawing packages.
