Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, create mood boards, and prepare presentations for client meetings, while ensuring designs align with project requirements and budgets. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Space planning
  • Material and finish selection
  • FF&E (fixtures, furniture, and equipment) specifications
  • Coordination with architects, contractors, and suppliers
  • Producing or reviewing design drawings
  • Visiting project sites to monitor progress
  • Resolving design-related issues

The Interior Designer will also support client communication, update project documentation, and contribute to maintaining Q Interiors’ luxury design standards across all projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection and specification
  • Proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts
  • Experience with design software Auto Cad and presentation tools
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in high-end or luxury residential design is an advantage
