Midweight Interior Designer - Workplace

Location: London
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £47,000 - £60,000 DOE

Overview

My client, a market leading design and build studio in London, is looking for a Midweight Interior Designer to join their growing team.

This role offers significant scope for progression, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer who wants to take ownership of projects from concept through to on-site completion. You will work closely with clients to design workplaces that are functional, inspiring, and thoughtfully and sustainably considered.

  • Develop creative design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that respond to client briefs and support successful pitches.
  • Produce detailed technical drawing packages, including floor plans, elevations, joinery details, and specifications.
  • Present design schemes directly to clients and confidently guide them through material selections and design revisions.
  • Work closely with project managers and contracts managers on site to resolve technical queries and protect design integrity.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years’ experience working on UK commercial office fit-out projects, ideally within a design and build or consultancy environment.
  • Strong workplace fit-out experience is essential. Applications without relevant commercial office experience cannot be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; Revit would be a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, commercial space planning, and workplace wellbeing trends.
