GP Plantscape is an interior and exterior landscaping company based in South Lanarkshire, serving commercial clients throughout Scotland. The company focuses on enriching workplaces and provides ongoing maintenance services. Team members work with a variety of plants and materials, supporting customers who value high-quality, reliable interior landscaping services.

The Interior Landscaping Technician

The Interior Landscaping Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and enhancing interior plants, living walls, and floral displays at client premises. The role involves ensuring all plant displays remain healthy, attractive, and professionally presented while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit client sites according to scheduled maintenance routes.
  • Water, feed, prune, clean, and maintain interior plants and displays.
  • Replace unhealthy or damaged plants as required.
  • Monitor plant health and identify pests, diseases, or environmental issues.
  • Install new interior planting schemes, containers, and living walls.
  • Maintain accurate service records and report any issues.
  • Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are kept clean and in good working order.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and respond professionally to requests.
  • Assist with seasonal installations and special projects when required.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in horticulture, interior landscaping, or plant care (preferred but not essential).
  • Good knowledge of indoor plant species and maintenance techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in presentation.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and moving plants and equipment.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily indoors within offices, hotels, retail spaces, hospitals, and public buildings.
  • Regular lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and handling plants and containers.
  • Early starts or occasional weekend work may be required.
