Join the Close Brothers Motor Finance Team where you will support the delivery of our regulatory obligations to monitor the intermediaries each business has a commercial relationship with, to ensure that best practice standards are followed, and that customer harm is prevented.

Working as part of the Retail Intermediary Oversight team our ideal team member will have previous experience in supporting the management and administration of the Intermediary of Concern process, conducting oversight audit reviews of dealers and brokers (intermediaries), holding stakeholders accountable for deadlines associated within these processes and liaising with senior stakeholders to develop and improve processes with excellent relationship building and management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of the oversight audit reviews including risk assessments to select intermediaries for review, conducting the audit reviews, reviewing and assessing responses and evidence received from intermediaries, determining remediation actions and completing the audit review report.
  • Administration of the Intermediary of Concern process including completing investigations to determine the level of risk to CBMF and appropriate next actions whilst also engaging relevant stakeholders to assist.
  • Effective documentation and management of follow up of actions through to completion.
  • Producing data analysis and management information for senior stakeholders relating to intermediaries of concern and audit reviews.
  • Producing reports and capturing minutes for the Intermediary Oversight Forum and presenting papers where appropriate.
  • Supporting the Senior Analyst in coordinating working groups for high-risk concerns including taking minutes and distributing actions.
  • Supporting the Senior Analyst in preparing training documents and delivering training to the wider business.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to persuade at all levels
  • Effective root cause analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • An ability to manage own diary and time whilst prioritising workloads
  • The ability to handle difficult conversations in a face-to-face environment
  • Conflict handling skills and ability to provide positive but constructive feedback
  • Competent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • The ability to challenge behaviours and continually improve processes whilst critically analysing information to produce a logical outcome

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in Financial Services
  • Managed and influenced senior managers
  • Development of effective management information
  • Sound knowledge of operational risk frameworks
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment
