Job Overview

Do you have sales experience, with knowledge of the intermediary healthcare benefits market? We’re looking for a motivated person to join our team. You'll proactively manage, retain and develop a portfolio of intermediary relationships with significant individual PMI healthcare volume. Your work will contribute to profitable growth, strategy and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop productive business to business relationships to deliver individual retention and new business sales results.
  • Build annual and longer-term account plans.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for further product and service sales, including health insurance, health services, personal and international sales.
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships across AXA Health.
  • Provide and share ongoing intermediary and market feedback with colleagues to help shape ongoing proposition development.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of AXA Health products and services and those of competitors.
  • Ensure all intermediaries are updated on any changes to our proposition and train any new starters.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you can predominantly work from home or if in a field-based role, you’ll travel to visit offices or client sites as required.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an intermediary relationship role.
  • Experience in intermediary management and support including training, performance management, and meetings.
  • Ability to meet new business and retention targets with developed commercial awareness – essential.
  • Full understanding of the intermediary healthcare benefits market and the relationship between customers, intermediaries, and healthcare providers.
  • Working knowledge of the range of health insurance and health services products available both from AXA Health and in the marketplace.
  • Advanced relationship management skills, with the ability to build and work collaboratively with a network of contacts.
  • Able to have challenging conversations.
  • Presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Organised, pro-active, self-motivated and focused.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
