About the Role
As an Intermediate Java Software Engineer, you’ll become part of a cross-functional team delivering high-quality, maintainable software solutions for our clients. You’ll:
- Grow your technical expertise while taking ownership of key project tasks.
- Work with Java and related frameworks (Spring/Spring Boot, JUnit, Hibernate), ensuring solutions align with client needs.
- Apply best engineering practices across the team while contributing to process improvements.
- Develop user-focused documentation for our clients’ products.
- Optionally support front-end contributions as required.

Requirements
Technical & Professional
- Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong software engineering foundation with SOLID principles, and hands-on Java expertise.
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience, including:
- Writing effective unit & integration tests.
- Maintaining a robust CI/CD testing suite (Jenkins preferred).
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka, including:
- Distributed messaging systems.
- Real-time data processing.
- Managing Kafka-based solutions.
- Proficient in building REST-based APIs.
- SQL expertise required; knowledge of stored procedures & indexes a plus.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker).
- Conceptual knowledge of containerization/orchestration via:
- Docker
- Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Cloud experience sought on AWS or Azure, including work with:
- Serverless functions
- Databases, storage, and compute resources
- Helpful if you’ve worked in Financial Services/Capital Markets, preferably with the FIX protocol.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment and project visibility.
