Company Description

Myomaker Bio is a contract research organisation (CRO) specialising in pre-clinical muscle biology for biotech and pharmaceutical partners. The company delivers tailored testing solutions that assess how compounds impact muscle function, helping clients make informed decisions and accelerate development pipelines. Its expertise covers advanced human and animal muscle models, including 3D human skeletal muscle, iPSC-derived systems, neuromuscular junctions, and vascularised bioengineered models. Myomaker Bio provides comprehensive assessment of muscle morphology and function across disease, exercise, injury, and rehabilitation contexts. The team focuses on generating high-quality, actionable data in a collaborative scientific environment.

Role Description

The Intern role is based at Victoria House (Bloomsbury, London), and is a short-term, voluntary, educational experience designed to provide exposure to the Company’s scientific, technical, and/or commercial activities. The intern will shadow laboratory activities in pre-clinical muscle biology, including basic experimental procedures, sample preparation, data collection, and routine documentation under supervision. Day-to-day tasks may involve assisting with muscle model maintenance, preparing reagents, helping run assays, and contributing to the organisation of lab equipment and materials. The intern will also help with data entry, preliminary analysis, and preparation of figures or summaries for internal reports and presentations. Collaboration with scientists and project teams is expected, along with adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
