π Kickstart Your Career with Upsilon Family's Internship Programme β Corporate Finance & Asset Management! π
Upsilon Family is a global Multi-Single-Family Office (MSFO) delivering integrated Family Office, Business Advisory, and Asset Management solutions to an international client base, supported by hubs in New York City, London, and Kuala Lumpur, with a global footprint spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia.
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION & STRUCTURE:
This is the front door into Upsilon Family β the only route through which early-career talent joins the firm, and where every career on our standard progression ladder begins. Participants contribute meaningfully to institutional work under close professional supervision, structured into two components:
- Learn β Exposure to the industry and to Upsilon Family itself: who we are, our institutional philosophy, and the methodology underpinning our Family Office, Business Advisory, and Asset Management work.
- Practice β Hands-on contribution to live mandates, including research, due diligence, transaction evaluation, market mapping, sector analysis, pitch and presentation materials, and outreach or origination-related activity as assigned. Ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables is expected throughout, including escalating issues proactively rather than waiting to be asked.
Development spans Technical and Non-Technical knowledge β including communication, collaboration, and other soft skills. Participation is selective β the firm admits a limited number of candidates per cohort to preserve the quality of supervision and mentorship the Programme demands.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Upsilon Family's institutional strength comes from the quality, discipline, and alignment of its people β talent is not a resource to be consumed, but a capability the firm develops, compounds, and retains over time. What we look for is UF talent, full stop: the same standard applied to every individual across the firm, regardless of tier, role, or engagement classification. Intern status does not mean a lower bar or a protected period of reduced expectation β the standard applies in full from the first day.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β and where to focus when applying.
We hold ourselves to two principles here: Attitude Over Capability, and Knowledge Over Skill. Capability and skill can be built β through structured mentorship, real exposure, and hands-on practice β but only where the right attitude and genuine understanding are already in place. In practice, this means a contribution mindset over a presence mindset: taking ownership of assigned work, escalating problems rather than sitting on them, and pursuing genuine understanding over surface-level output β not effort, hours logged, or tenure. Continuation within the Programme is judged strictly on this basis.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
ACADEMIC:
Undergraduate students only, currently enrolled and on track for a 2:1 or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed at least one prior internship or structured professional experience β in finance, investment, advisory, or any other professional setting β demonstrating reliability, accountability, and the ability to operate professionally in a structured environment. Activities undertaken solely through university-affiliated societies or student-run organisations do not satisfy this requirement.
SKILLS (IT):
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
SKILLS (OTHER):
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs) applied to structured research and professional workflows.
- Candidates should demonstrate understanding of prompt formulation, iterative refinement of AI outputs, quality control, responsible use of AI technologies, awareness of model limitations, data accuracy considerations, and the importance of confidentiality and professional judgment.
