Innovation Scouting Intern

Location: London (St. Pauls)
Type: Part Time Internship
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: 13th September 2026

About Atom

Atom is a deep tech innovation company that helps some of the world's leading companies discover breakthrough technologies from universities, startups, and SMEs. We bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and industry by identifying commercially relevant innovations and connecting them with organisations looking to acquire, license, or partner on new technologies. Our work spans advanced materials, manufacturing, sustainability, energy, healthcare, and other emerging sectors.

As an intern at Atom, you'll gain first-hand exposure to emerging technologies, work directly with the founder and core team, and play a meaningful role in helping bring innovation from the lab to industry.

The Role

Do you want to become a top leader in sales/business development? Then this is the right starting role for you.

You will be exposed to multimillion-dollar deals that rely on your ability to be highly organised and proactive in innovation scouting and business development activities. You'll be helping coordinate outreach to universities, technology transfer offices, startup founders, and inventors behind promising technologies. You'll also support the creation of technology reports that will create the baseline for deal due diligence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
