Pharmacy Telesales Representative – Over-the-Counter Products
About the Role
Sellen over-the-counter products to pharmacies at agreed prices and deal structures, hitting KPIs for average daily calls, orders, and sales volumes while following a structured telesales call flow. Grow your assigned territory by brand over a defined period, developing existing relationships while acquiring new businesses.
Supportive tasks include:
- Providing pharmacy customer assistance via telephone during targeted sales drives
- Creating promotional emails, flyers, and marketing materials to support campaign goals
- Managing daily administration—ensuring accurate data entry and timely communication with clients (e.g., scheduling follow-up emails).
- Completing order processing and performance monitoring to meet call standards.
Collaborate with your Sales Support Manager to uphold call performance metrics and contribute to broader business objectives.
Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and competitive pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Territory Development
- Execute daily telesales calls to maintain consistency with agreed average call rates and sales targets.
- Grow assigned geographical territory by increasing brand penetration and order value over a specified period.
- Achieve individual and team targets, driving revenue growth through existing and new business development.
Customer Liaison & Promotion
- Deliver regular telephone support to clients during targeted sales campaigns.
- Produce promotional materials (emails, flyers), aligned with company-branded templates.
- Ensure advance notice of telesales calls via email to pharmacies (minimum of one week prior).

Admin & Compliance
- Complete all order processing—logging transactions and updating records accurately and efficiently.
- Track sales performance, analysing call rates, customer interactions, and revenue trends.
- Fill emails and promotional materials one week before scheduled telesales calls.
Performance & Reporting
- Use IQVIA’s CRM system to extract data, compile performance analytics, and provide insights on sales trends.
- Monitor and uplift individual performance against KPIs (call volume, order accuracy, customer outcomes).
- Maintain a basic proficiency in Excel (invoicing, templates) and PowerPoint (creating handoff briefs).
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales Support Manager to troubleshoot call deficits, quality concerns, or performance gaps.
- Remain “commercial-ready”—one benefit of the role is the surge of creative energy needed to engage buyers on product benefits.
- Execute ad-hoc projects to support team objectives; flexibility to fulfil additional administrative tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 Years’ Experience Required
- Proven telephone account management experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a B2B selling capacity, handling rejections and closing objections.
- FMCG industry experience (desirable).

✔ Self-management – Plan analogous days, own call scheduling, and prioritise territories wisely. ✔ Customer-centred engagement – Confidently communicate product features, overcome objections, and negotiate with buyers. ✔ Advanced telesales skills – Actively track sales calls, negatives, and exceptions to enhance conversion rates. ✔ CRM system – Capability to load records, segment reports, and react to insights in customers’ sales dashboards. ✔ Basic IT abilities –
- Manage Excel templates (sales matrices, forecasts, keystrokes).
- Navigate CRM functions with ease (updating customer profiles, extracting metrics).
- Use PowerPoint minimally (formatting presentation materials for team collaboration).

Education
Minimum "English and Maths GCSE/A Level" equivalent at a competent level.
