Internal Audit, Business Audit, Vice President – Glasgow
At Morgan Stanley, we’re seeking a Vice President in Glasgow to lead audits of the Third Party business within our Internal Audit Division (IAD).
About the Role
The Internal Audit Division (IAD) delivers an independent perspective on key risks within the Firm, ensuring robust risk management, governance, and control systems. As part of its mission to drive continual improvement across Morgan Stanley’s global operations, this role will focus on Business Audit, overseeing audits across front, middle, and back offices.

What You’ll Do
- Formulate and lead assurance activities to assess risks and evaluations of controls within the assigned area
- Proactively identify emerging risks and integrate findings into risk assessments
- Present clear, actionable insights to senior management regarding critical risks and their impact
- Collaborate globally with stakeholders to build effective working relationships and drive organisational excellence
- Align projects with network departmental and business priorities, ensuring high-quality execution of deliverables via established audit methodology and quality standards

What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in audit, risk, or governance roles (general experience considered)
- Deep understanding of industry norms, global markets, and regulatory standards relevant to the Third Party Risk Management or Cybersecurity space
- Advanced expertise in audit principles, methodologies, tools, and processes (risk assessment, planning, testing, reporting, and continuous monitoring)
- Ability to communicate complex risk findings concisely to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage change and projects, guiding teams in adopting best practices
- Strong data competencies, allowing you to analyse trends and inform risk decision-making
- Keen desire to coach and mentor while fostering an inclusive working environment
- Preferred certifications include CIA, CTPRP, CISA, or comparable qualifications
