About the Role
We're looking for an Associate to join our team, responsible for executing assurance activities of the ISG Operations business.
The Internal Audit Division (IAD) ensures Morgan Stanley’s vulnerabilities get the attention and resources they need by providing an independent, well-informed perspective and insight into critical risks. This is achieved through various assurance activities assessing the firm’s internal control system, including risk management and governance frameworks. IAD operates as an objective, independent function within Morgan Stanley’s risk management environment, driving continual improvement in risk processes.
This position is an Associate role within Business Audit, overseeing control reviews across front, mid, and back offices.

Responsibilities
- Execute a wide range of assurance activities, including audits, continuous monitoring, and closure verification
- Identify, understand, and assess use cases and adoption of new audit tools and techniques, particularly AI and Data Analytics
- Analyze and leverage data to refine coverage insights
- Develop clear, impactful risk and business impact communications for stakeholders
- Collaborate with diverse internal teams to foster strong working relationships and deliver project outcomes
- Effectively manage multiple deliverables while maintaining high-quality work standards
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience for this role
- Proficiency with AI and Data Analytics tools
- Familiarity with Banking/Finance Operations processes
- Understanding of audit principles, tools, and processes (risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting, continuous monitoring) – preferred
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and adapt messaging for different audiences
- Capacity to identify patterns and anomalies in data with guidance
- A commitment to embracing inclusion and diversity
- Willingness to solicit and provide constructive feedback for personal and team development
- Relevant certifications (CIA, CFA, CPA) are preferred
