Job Description

Internal Audit at Goldman Sachs

In Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm's compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. Our group has unique insight on the financial industry and its products and operations. We're looking for detail-oriented team players who have an interest in financial markets and want to gain insight into the firm's operations and control processes.

Team Overview

The Professional Practice Group (PPG) is comprised of quality assurance, practices, learning and development, and transformation activities. Critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and adaptability are key skills and core responsibilities for anyone in the PPG team. Additionally, as a member of PPG you’ll contribute across all disciplines with the opportunity to specialize in supporting the delivery of high-quality, consistent, and risk-focused assurance work.

Learning And Development

We are a new team forming to ensure that:

  • Employees in our Internal Audit Division have the tools they need to be successful in their role and continue to upskill themselves in areas of methodology, technical skills, and professional development.

What We Do

Strategic Vision for Learning and Development

  • Create a best-in-class Learning and Development team to develop a training curriculum to support Internal Audit.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • Support the Learning and Development Team by collaborating across the division to identify and understand training needs
  • Utilize and manage LMS to create and add training courses, assign content to learners, track completions, generate reports, and add necessary content
  • Manage training schedules and calendar including reserving and setting up rooms for IA programs and training, confirming facilitator’s availability, managing logistics, and follow up on learner completion
  • Coordination of any necessary training materials, AV needs, and catering requests
  • Communicate with vendors and external parties on logistics and coordination on L&D opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership to create learning paths for different roles and levels within IA
  • Evaluate current learning programs for continuous improvement
  • Facilitate training programs in person and virtually
  • Assist in developing ongoing learning curriculum, including technical skills, methodology, professional skills, and leadership and management skills
  • Identify new tools and techniques in the learning and development space (podcasts, virtual polling, interactive videos, etc.)
  • Stay informed of learning and development best practices, industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovation
  • Design and delivery initiatives focused on Learning and Development within IA, enhancing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Communication, or related field
  • At least two years of experience in Learning and Development
  • Experience in creating learning journeys and career pathways
  • Ability to communicate complex themes and methodology effectively
  • Experience in utilizing and managing LMS
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
