Internal Audit & Risk Manager

Internal Audit & Risk Manager

At Aston Martin, effective governance, risk management and assurance are fundamental to how we operate and grow. Behind every strategic decision is a commitment to doing the right thing, managing risk intelligently and continuously improving how we work.

We're looking for an Internal Audit & Risk Manager to join our Internal Audit & Risk Management team and play a key role in providing independent assurance across the business. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how organisations operate, building trusted relationships and helping leaders navigate risk while driving positive change.

This role offers a unique perspective across Aston Martin. You'll work closely with stakeholders from all areas of the business, including Executive Management, while providing assurance and advisory support that helps strengthen controls, improve processes and support strategic decision-making. As part of a team responsible for internal audit and enterprise risk management, you'll help ensure the business remains resilient and well positioned for the future.

You'll lead internal audit assignments from initial planning and risk assessment through to fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Alongside traditional audit activities, you'll independently assess key business risks, support the delivery of principal risk reviews and contribute to the ongoing development of the annual audit plan. The role also provides exposure to whistleblower investigations, governance reviews and risk management activities, working closely with colleagues across Human Resources, Legal and other business functions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll manage relationships with external co-source providers, oversee the delivery of audit work where appropriate and support the development of team members through the line management of Internal Auditors. At the same time, you'll work with stakeholders across the organisation to help ensure audit actions are implemented effectively and that the business continues to strengthen its control environment. You will also work closely with our second line Business Assurance team to support our internal control maturation programme.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical audit expertise with excellent relationship-building skills. You'll be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and able to communicate complex findings in a clear, constructive and practical way. You should enjoy asking questions, understanding root causes and helping the business identify opportunities for improvement rather than simply identifying issues.

You'll bring experience from an internal or external audit environment, ideally within a publicly listed company, along with a recognised audit or accountancy qualification such as IIA, ACA or ACCA. Experience of risk and governance frameworks, data analysis, control reviews and audit methodologies will be important, while experience within manufacturing, IT audit, financial controls or programme governance would be advantageous.

Just as important as your technical capability will be your approach. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, resilient and adaptable, with the confidence to challenge when needed and the emotional intelligence to build credibility and trust. Someone who is data-driven and detail-focused, but who also understands the value of strong relationships and collaborative working.

In return, you'll join a team with a great reputation with broad visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to influence meaningful business improvements. You'll gain exposure to strategic initiatives, senior stakeholders and a wide range of business functions, while developing your leadership capabilities and technical expertise. The role also offers future progression opportunities, both within Internal Audit & Risk Management and across the wider organisation

If you're looking for a role where you can influence positive change, work closely with senior stakeholders and help shape a strong and resilient business, we'd love to hear from you.
