WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Audit Technician to join our team here in Liverpool, UK.
The Internal Audit Technician provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services to support the assessment and improvement processes across the company's analytical laboratories. This role supports internal auditors in advising the organisation on how to accomplish its objectives by taking a disciplined approach to evaluating the effectiveness of various operational areas, including sample preparation, analytical testing, data reporting, and client services.
The role is based at headquarters and involves auditing technical and operational processes related to the laboratory's scope of testing (e.g., ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, Fire Assay, LECO). The Internal Audit Technician works collaboratively with operational teams while maintaining independence and objectivity, supporting the promotion of an ethical and risk-aware culture.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Strong analytical skills to assess processes and data, with the ability to identify risks, errors, or non-conformances. A questioning mind and alertness to potential misstatement of information due to error or fraud are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google suite of applications.
- Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage a personal workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team, and to interact professionally with personnel at all levels.

Work Experience
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited analytical laboratory is desired.
- Experience in a quality, technical, or operational role is desired.
Required Qualifications
- A good general education (minimum 4 GCSE’s Grades A-C or 9-5 including Maths, Science, and English).
- A basic understanding of Chemistry.
Travel
Overseas travel, generally no more than two weeks per trip, will be required.
