Internal Business Development Manager

The internal sales team is fundamental to the business, acting as the primary point of contact for introducers and ensuring an excellent experience from enquiry through to completion.
The Role The Internal Business Development Manager will sit at the heart of the commercial team, managing broker relationships, converting opportunities and driving case volumes. The position starts in a telephone‑focused role, allowing you to fully embed into the business, understand the products and develop strong broker relationships. There is a structured pathway to support your development, with the role evolving as your knowledge and experience grow.

Key Responsibilities Managing and developing relationships with new and existing brokers via telephone and email. Converting inbound and outbound opportunities into completed deals. Manage cases, working closely with underwriting and operations teams. Building trusted relationships with intermediaries through consistent service and strong product knowledge. Maintaining an accurate and well‑managed pipeline using CRM systems. Achieving and exceeding personal sales and activity targets.

Skills and Experience 2–4 years’ experience in internal sales or telephone‑based BDM roles Exposure to specialist lending, short‑term finance or intermediary sales Confident communicator with a strong telephone presence. Self‑motivated, proactive and commercially focused. Comfortable managing multiple cases simultaneously in a target‑driven environment. Willing to commit to an initial internal telesales period as part of long‑term development.
