Job Description
JOB TITLE: Lecturer - Bridge to Engagement
LOCATION: Downham Market
HOURS: Roles from 7.5 hours to 37 hrs per week
SALARY: £31,904 - £40,233 per annum Pro Rata
Due to increasing student numbers and investment into our inclusive learning provision we are recruiting for additional Lecturers to join our team at Downham Market to support our Bridge to Engagement learners.
Our Bridge to Engagement programme enables learners who may not be comfortable at a larger campus to access further education in a small, bespoke campus. Our group sizes are small, meaning that we can offer a highly supported environment, enabling our learners to develop and progress to either further study or employment.
Our curriculum team are integral in providing learners with the tools, knowledge and confidence that they need to succeed and we are proud of the success of these programmes.
Our Bridge to Engagement provision programmes are designed to support young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. We are looking for innovative and passionate teachers who are confident in managing challenging behaviour.
We have a small and dedicated team at our Downham Market site. We operate smaller class sizes and extended support, this is a rewarding role for those teachers who like to make a difference to young people’s outcomes, both within and after education.
We pride ourselves on our approach to the work life balance of our team and actively support job share and flexible working opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
