Role Summary We’re seeking an experienced Internal Communications & Engagement Manager to drive our colleague and volunteer engagement by crafting inspiring communications aligned with our purpose and strategy. This role requires creative problem-solving, collaboration, and a passion for fostering inclusive dialogue across a complex, national organisation.
About the Role
You’ll join the Communications & Fundraising directorate, working across internal communications, people teams, and operational areas. This is a dynamic role within a hybrid organisation structured at national and regional levels.

The work is fast-paced, with a focus on ensuring colleagues and volunteers feel informed, engaged, and valued.
As a national role, you’ll operate under a flexible work model, balancing office-based activities and on-site visits to National Trust locations. You’ll typically spend 40–60% of your weeks at National Trust sites.

- Strategic planning: Develop and deliver internal communications and engagement plans that align programme, campaigns, and organisational change priorities with the wider communications strategy.

Essential Experience

Strong background in Internal Communications, with demonstrated success in large, complex organisations.

Multi-channel expertise: Design, execution, and evaluation of communication digital, print, and face-to-face initiatives.
