Communications Executive – Internally Focussed
Contract: 6-month fixed-term Compensation: £26,000 per annum Location: Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0PQ Hours: 8:45am – 5:15pm (Monday to Friday) Reports to: Head of Communications

Key Responsibilities

Our Channels Team
- Manage day-to-day oversight of internal platforms: [Workvivo], email, [Microsoft Teams], town halls and video recordings.
- Schedule/publish content and maintain an organised editorial calendar.

Content & Governance
- Uphold template standards and posting guidelines.
- Craft clear, persuasive copy for:
- Articles
- Employee announcements/FAQs
- Scripts (town halls, videos)
- Presentations
- Simplify technical updates to suit diverse audiences.
- Highlight achievements that champion our employee-ownership values.

Proofreading & Quality
- Rigorously edit materials for clarity, tone, and accuracy.

Special Projects
- Support HR/business during reorganisations, systems rollouts and engagement drives.
- Compile briefs, toolkits, and stakeholder reports.
- Align messaging with leadership and cultural initiatives (e.g., recognising milestones).

- Plan company-wide events, cross-functional meetings, and virtual engagements:
- Securing invites to delegates.
- Developing run-of-show timelines.
- Crafting follow-up communications to sustain momentum.

Performance Analytics
- Track engagement metrics (reach, feedback, sentiment).
- Visualise findings in simple dashboards for continuous improvement.
Requirements
To thrive here, you should have:
- Experience in internal communications, marketing, PR, or engagement roles.
- Writing acumen: ability to distil complexity into compelling narratives.
- Digital literacy: agility across tools like Workvivo, Teams, or campaign platforms.
- Organisational skills: juggle tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Collaborative energy: connect at all levels—senior leaders and colleagues.
- Campaigns or event support – a added plus.
- Basics in analytics/reporting.
