Role Overview

The Internal Communications Lead is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy related to internal communications and employee engagement for internal audiences. This includes strategy comms, financial comms, people changes, acquisitions, items related to HR, operations, etc.

This role will require working across the company at all levels including with ExCo and the CEO. While this role will support employee engagement and initiatives to drive it, this role is not accountable or the owner of employee engagement.

This role will work closely with colleagues in the marketing and comms team as well as HR.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create and implement an internal comms strategy to ensure employees are aware and informed of business and people developments to help build engagement and pride. This includes change communications making sure that people understand what is happening and why.
  • Develops and oversees content to engage interest internally either as projects or ongoing campaigns. Content can take forms of written, visual, audio, etc.
  • Works closely with content, digital channels, external comms
  • Maintains an editorial calendar for internal content.
  • Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in being able to craft and implement strategy.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, email marketing software).
  • Demonstrable project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3-5 years in a similar role within a FTSE organisation.
