M&A Comms Specialist

We've partnered with a leading insurance firm to find them an M&A comms specialist to support with an integration of three businesses over the next 15 - 18 months on a salary of £60k - £72k.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering the internal communication strategy for the integration, including tech implementation, people integration, and programme communications.

This role will ensure the effective development and delivery of integration communications within the programme and across the wider business, ensuring clarity, transparency, and engagement throughout the integration journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme & transformation communications

  • Provide communication leadership across critical transformation and integration activities, using deep programme knowledge and experience to anticipate risks, shape messaging, and support successful change adoption.
  • Establish a communication framework in partnership with the IMO that aligns, engages, and connects everyone working across the programme.
  • Develop and deliver the communication strategy to keep all colleagues informed about the integration roadmap, progress, and next steps.
  • Lead programme communications, including all TUPE-related communication requirements.

People integration communications

  • Work with the HR team to lead OD communications, ensuring timely and high-quality communication plans, consultation packs, and related communications.
  • Deliver HR communications, including OD activity and the unification of policies, processes, systems, and people-related frameworks across the combined business.

Culture & ways of working

  • Drive the development of a cultural change across the combined business.
  • Roll out and embed the purpose, strategy, and ways of working for the combined business, ensuring colleagues understand, connect with, and adopt the new direction.

Communication channels and content

  • Feed relevant content into business-wide communication channels.
  • Development and delivery of the integration hub, consultation support hub, and integration newsletter, as well as integration updates for CEO blogs, live broadcasts, and SLT connects.
  • Create high-quality content including announcements, leader blogs, intranet articles, video scripts, presentations, events, and thought leadership.

This can be based in either London or Southampton and has a hybrid working model with 2 - 3 days in office per/week. Candidates who are immediately available or have no more than a one-month notice are preferred.
