Internal Communications Manager (STE 12 months)
We’re looking for an Associate Manager, Internal Communications to support end-to-end internal communications across Meta — with emphasis on social-first execution. This role blends strategic internal comms support with hands-on content creation, helping translate company priorities, updates, and moments into clear, engaging communications for employees globally. You’ll support core internal comms work (announcements, narratives, leadership messaging) while ensuring it shows up in ways that feel human, timely, and native to internal social platforms. This is a Short Term Employment opportunity (STE) of 12 months.
Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of core internal communications across key moments, updates, and initiatives Draft and edit internal announcements, updates, and narratives for employee audiences Partner with internal communications leaders to help shape messaging that is clear, aligned, and employee-ready Translate internal communications priorities into social-first content for Meta’s internal platforms Create platform-native posts, short-form content, and lightweight series that drive understanding and engagement Spot opportunities to make internal moments more relevant, timely, and fluent Own end-to-end execution of internal content: ideation, drafting, approvals, publishing, and iteration Work with designers, motion partners, and internal creators to bring stories to life visually Manage editorial planning and content calendars for internal channels Work cross-functionally with teams including Product, Engineering, Human Resources, and Internal Communications leaders Advise stakeholders on how to communicate effectively with employees, especially in social formats Support reactive communications when needed, helping turn fast-moving updates into clear internal messaging Track engagement and performance of internal social content Use insights to refine formats, tone, and approaches Share learnings and best practices with the wider internal communications team

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years experience in internal communications, employee communications, social media, or editorial content Proven written and editing skills across formal internal communications and social-first formats A solid understanding of internal audiences and the sensitivities of employee communications Hands-on skills with AI tools (such as Meta AI), Photoshop, or other relevant platforms Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments Demonstrates sound judgment and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within an AI-native environment and/or leveraging AI-supported workflows Experience working on internal social platforms or enterprise tools Familiarity with content analytics and insights-led iteration Experience in global or matrixed organisations A background in editorial or creator-led content
