Internal Communications Partner – Europe

Responsibilities

About the Team

The Internal Communications (IC) team within Human Resources and Management supports both company and team-level communications needs—based on audience size, potential impact, complexity, and other relevant factors—to achieve the best communication outcomes: building trust and engagement with employees.

The team offers functional expertise at the enterprise level, with regional teams covering all markets (AMS, EMEA, APAC, China). This role will serve as the IC partner for Europe, working across dynamic markets and priorities for various business units and company functions.

What Will I Do?

  • Focus on internal communications, working closely with leaders, HR, and teams across key European business units, including:

    • TikTok,
    • Global Business Solutions (GBS),
    • Global Brand and Communications,
    • Product,
    • Technology,
    • Government Relations,
    • Europe Data Governance Strategy, and more.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and support on how we communicate policy and management philosophies internally, both with:

    • Human Resources,
    • Performance & Incentives,
    • Organizational Culture,
    • Employer Brand.
  • Take the lead on regionally sensitive and confidential projects, ensuring:

    • Key messages are easily understood by employees across all tiers.
    • Approaches reflect and comply with local market obligations.

  • Drive proactive and reactive messaging for critical employee engagement moments, with a deep understanding of:

    • European regulatory landscapes.
    • Cultural nuances.
  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies and programming—regional, country-level, and global—that:

    • Strengthen employee engagement.
    • Build trust across the organization.
  • Support Crisis Management Teams in European markets by developing:

    • Clear, coordinated communication approaches. (In partnership with Physical Security and local cross-functional teams).
  • Lead the following critical content and logistical efforts:

    • Regional All Hands meetings.
    • Market-level Town Halls.
  • Collaborate with Global Internal Communications on company-wide goals and employee sentiment tracking.


Who Are You? (Qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within Communications or a similar field.
  • Fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A natural storyteller, skilled at translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, executing initiatives start-to-finish.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, driven by impact.
  • Prior experience in multi-cultural global organizations—preferably within a high-growth, fast-moving tech company.
