IAC are pleased to be working with a specialist Manufacturing organisation who are looking to build their Internal Controls function following listing on the NYSE.

In an exciting time for our client they are looking for an experienced Internal Controls professional to support and enhance the financial reporting control framework across multiple business locations.

Working closely with finance teams, you'll provide independent oversight, review key controls, support risk management and help drive continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders, improving processes and making a tangible impact.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate internal controls activities across multiple business units.
  • Review and challenge control self-assessments to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Validate the design and effectiveness of key financial reporting controls through walkthroughs and testing.
  • Monitor control deficiencies and support remediation activities.
  • Prepare reports highlighting control performance, risks and progress.
  • Maintain control documentation and identify opportunities to improve, simplify and standardise processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance teams on internal control best practice.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.

The ideal candidate will have

  • 5+ years' experience in internal controls, audit or financial governance within a complex organisation.
  • A strong understanding of control frameworks, risk assessment and testing.
  • Experience reviewing financial controls and exposure to IT controls is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with GRC or controls management systems is desirable.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA or CISA are advantageous.
