Earnings: £24,847.20
Salary: £24,847.20 (pro rata for part time)
Covering: Caerphilly
Contract Type: Temporary fixed for 6 months
Agile – working where and when required, to do the job most effectively
Hours & Working Pattern:
- 25 hours per week
- Generally, Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work
- All team members must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of the Charity and the people we support
Accountable to: Support Service Manager
Purpose Of The Post
Deliver support for families with children and young people aged 25 and under (including antenatally), living within the Caerphilly County Borough Council area, who are victims/survivors of VAWDASV. We recognise that anyone (women, men, children and young people) can experience and be affected by domestic abuse.

As a Family Support Worker, you will provide tailored specialist support/interventions to children, young people (aged 0–25), and families impacted by domestic abuse and sexual violence and/or are high-risk of serious harm.
You will deliver 1:1 support and group work interventions, which are trauma informed, are promoting safety, resilience, and recovery and will work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
Cyfannol Women’s Aid implements support for Families, children and young people (0-25) who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse. Via Tailored and individual pathways that build on their strengths. Support provided is person-focused, needs met and trauma-informed.

This role requires frequent travel for business purposes. A current valid driving licence, access to a car and insurance covering business use
