Internal IFS Expert

Internal IFS Functional Expert

Our client is seeking an experienced IFS professional to take ownership of their enterprise applications environment and play a key role in driving operational excellence across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure the IFS platform aligns with business objectives while leading initiatives that improve business processes, optimise system performance and support long-term growth.

This role goes beyond a traditional IFS Systems Administrator position, combining ERP administration, business systems management, solution architecture, business analysis, and process improvement. As the organisation’s internal IFS subject matter expert, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, lead business change and help maximise the value of the organisation’s ERP investment. This is a hybrid position, requiring four days per week on-site and one day per week working remotely, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with stakeholders while benefiting from a degree of flexible working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the organisation’s IFS environment, coordinating system enhancements with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Analyse, review and optimise business processes to ensure the ERP platform effectively supports operational and strategic objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain solution architecture across the enterprise applications landscape.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and business performance.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and system permissions in line with governance and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee application support, user documentation, and end-user training to encourage system adoption and best practices.
  • Ensure change requests are appropriately governed, prioritised, and implemented, delivering measurable business benefits while minimising unnecessary customisation.
  • Support cross-functional projects and drive end-to-end business process improvements across multiple business functions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
