Sales Support Advisor - Fixed-Term Maternity Cover

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales Support Advisor to join our Sales Support Team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, providing solutions, and supporting the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.

As a key member of the team, you will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, helping customers find the right products for their needs while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will:

  • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email, maximising sales opportunities.
  • Advise customers on suitable products and solutions for their requirements (full product training will be provided).
  • Create and issue customer quotations and proactively follow up opportunities.
  • Process customer orders accurately using the Kaiser + Kraft system.
  • Maintain and update customer records, ensuring contact and address information remains accurate.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer complaints and product return requests.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Sales Support Team to achieve shared objectives.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas, feedback and best practice with colleagues.

What Success Looks Like

Your performance will be measured through:

  • Customer communication activity, including inbound and outbound call volumes.
  • Quotation generation and conversion rates.
  • Accurate and timely order processing.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A customer-focused approach with a keen eye for detail.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a customer service, sales support or internal sales role.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Results-oriented, taking ownership and responsibility for delivering outcomes.
