Internal Sales Coordinator

Location: Outskirts of Royston Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC)


About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an Internal Sales Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a 12-month maternity cover role and offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong customer service and coordination experience.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role, ideal for an organised professional with excellent time management skills. A key part of the role involves arranging appointments for the external sales team, so applicants must have strong diary management skills and a solid understanding of UK geography.


Main Responsibilities

  • Answering customer enquiries via telephone and email.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments for the external sales team across the UK.
  • Managing diaries to ensure efficient route planning and appointment allocation.
  • Promoting new products through outbound calls and email campaigns.
  • Providing technical product information and advice to customers.
  • Responding to customer queries promptly and professionally.
  • Processing customer information accurately and maintaining internal systems.
  • Supporting general sales administration and the wider team.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in diary management, scheduling, or appointment coordination.
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK geography and confidence in planning efficient schedules.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • A calm, professional, and confident telephone manner.
  • Good IT proficiency, including experience with:
    • CRM systems
    • Microsoft Office
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and team-focused approach.
