LED Controls Ltd - one of the UK’s Fastest Growing Automation Specialists - is looking for a driven, technically minded Internal Sales Engineer to join our ambitious and supportive team.

The Role:

As a key member of our internal sales team, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical enquiries - specifying the right solutions, preparing accurate quotations, and building strong customer relationships. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, and our external sales team to deliver outstanding service and support on a wide range of industrial automation products.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email with accurate technical advice and quotations
  • Identify and specify suitable automation and control solutions
  • Generate and process sales orders, following up on quotations and new opportunities
  • Build lasting customer relationships through proactive communication
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, stock availability, and delivery schedules
  • Support external sales colleagues with account management and project coordination

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who combines technical understanding with strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

You’ll Ideally Have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Experience within industrial automation or electrical controls would be useful
  • Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, HMI systems, sensors or related products (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Extensive sales experience
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
