Internal Sales Engineer
Salary: A GBP 32,000 to GBP 38,000 per annum
Location: Warwick
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:15pm and Friday, 7:30am to 2:45pm
Role Summary
We are recruiting for an Internal Sales Engineer to support customer enquiries, sales administration, quotations and order processing within a technical industrial environment.
This is a customer-focused internal sales role suited to someone who is organised, commercially aware and confident speaking with customers over the phone. The role will involve discussing technical applications, supporting product selection and identifying opportunities to upsell suitable components or related products.
The Internal Sales Engineer role would suit someone with previous sales, customer service or sales administration experience, ideally with a technical background or a strong interest in engineering, machinery, automation or industrial components.

Role and Responsibilities
- Process customer enquiries and support the technical selection of suitable products.
- Prepare accurate quotations, including price, delivery and product information.
- Process sales orders and support weekly OEM delivery schedules.
- Provide strong customer service through telephone, email and general sales support.
- Follow up with customers to discuss enquiries, identify requirements and upsell relevant components or solutions.
- Discuss customer applications and technical issues in a clear and confident manner.
- Order goods from suppliers and coordinate delivery to meet agreed customer deadlines.
- Support occasional outbound sales activity.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive accurate and timely support.
- Organise and prioritise daily workload, working with minimal supervision where required.

Key Skills And Experience
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, internal sales or sales administration.
- Comfortable handling customer enquiries, quotations, order processing and follow-up calls.
- Able to discuss technical products, components or applications with customers.
- Technical knowledge or a strong interest in engineering, machinery, automation, mechanical products or industrial components would be highly beneficial.
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with ERP, CRM or order processing systems would be advantageous.
