Internal Sales Engineer
Job Title: Internal Sales Engineer
As an Internal Sales Engineer you will support the sales team by handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and helping to secure orders. This role involves working closely with internal teams and customers to deliver the right solutions on time. Experience in a sales or technical role in engineering or manufacturing is desirable with the ability to read and understand technical drawings/specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries and confirm receipt
- Understand customer requirements, including technical specifications
- Work with engineering, production, quality, and purchasing teams
- Prepare and issue quotations
- Source costs for materials, labour, and services when needed
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with customers
- Manage customer accounts or territories

Skills & Experience
Qualifications (preferred but not essential):
- Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or similar
Experience (desirable):
- Sales or technical role in engineering or manufacturing
Key Skills:
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills
- Able to read and understand technical drawings/specifications
- Good attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Basic IT skills and experience with ERP systems (preferred)
