We are now looking for an ambitious, driven Internal Sales Engineer (ISE) to join our high-performing UK team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build both commercial and technical expertise, working at the heart of our business while developing a pathway into field-based and strategic account roles.
The Role
As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will take full ownership of a defined customer portfolio, proactively driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences through a consultative sales approach.
You will balance high-volume proactive engagement with targeted account development, identifying opportunities, nurturing relationships, and creating value for both customers and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a assigned customer portfolio (typically 700–800 accounts)
- Deliver approximately 1,900 proactive outbound sales calls per year (~9 per day)
- Achieve agreed sales and order targets across:
- End users (including on-site resellers & FM providers) and OEM customers
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities
- Proactively manage a secondary portfolio of 20–30 high-potential target accounts
- Develop accounts to transition into ASE (Area Sales Engineer) managed status
- Promote the full Spirax Sarco offering, including products, systems, services, and training
- Follow up and convert leads into revenue opportunities
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within CRM systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support campaigns, service delivery, and customer success

Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in customer service, sales, or account management
- Exposure to new business development
- Basic understanding of steam and condensate systems (advantageous but not essential)
