Shape The Future Of Cooling

Are you ready to work at the sharp end of mission-critical infrastructure?

At Guntner, we deliver advanced cooling and heat exchange solutions for customers across the UK, Ireland and international markets. Our solutions support sectors such as heating and ventilation, refrigeration, energy, process industries and data centre infrastructure.

As our Internal Sales Engineer UK & Ireland, you will play a key role in supporting our external sales activities, helping customers and internal teams turn technical requirements into successful project outcomes.

Your Role

In this position, you will support the external sales teams operating in the UK and Ireland and work closely with local sales, Group internal sales teams, order management and customers. The role includes communication with new and existing customers from different sectors, including heating and ventilation, refrigeration, energy and process markets.

You will also support order management by checking project documents, contributing to the fulfilment of orders and providing first-level aftersales support for claims and site operational requests.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the external sales team in preparing proposals and presentations for contacts in the UK and Ireland.
  • Support the maintenance and development of existing customers through regular sales contact.
  • Actively develop projects from design stage through to specification.
  • Demonstrate selection software to customers where feasible, encourage its adoption and provide ongoing training.
  • Work with sales technical support teams at Group level to generate quotations and maximise the external sales team’s face-to-face time with customers.
  • Support the successful delivery of orders by clearly communicating project requirements to the sales technical support team.
  • Keep Salesforce relevant and maintain the necessary sales records on local servers.
  • Participate in local sales meetings, share market activity, identify sales trends and contribute to key performance indicators.
  • Support order management in checking project documents and fulfilling orders.
  • Provide aftersales support to the market, including first-level support for claims and site operational requests.
  • Liaise with the existing management team to maintain strong service levels and share knowledge with other team members.
  • Provide regular reporting on the market situation to the Managing Director.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
