Business Development – Account Executive (Internal Sales)

Full-time | Monday–Friday

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially focused Account Executive (Internal Sales) to join our Business Development team. This desk-based role is central to supporting our customers, driving growth, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service.


About The Role

As the key internal point of contact for a defined customer base, you will:

  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Manage opportunities through to completion, ensuring sales cycles are streamlined
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM system records
  • Identify new sales opportunities, support upselling and cross-selling, and assist in customer onboarding
  • Ensure smooth transitions for new customers, optimising their journey with Adler & Allan
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver timely, compliant, and effective solutions
  • Support marketing activity, generate opportunities, and assist in scheduling appointments for field-based teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer contact and logging all interactions in the CRM system
  • Producing accurate quotations and estimates
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and actively generating new business opportunities
  • Handling incoming enquiries professionally to uncover sales potential
  • Ensuring contracted services meet handover requirements
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather job information and enhance reporting
  • Generating and distributing account-based reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintaining relationships through calls, emails, and virtual meetings

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and experience with CRM/database systems
  • Proven sales or account management experience
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive, customer-focused mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing urgency with precision
  • Experience in a service-led or environmental industry is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
