U Value Insulation is experiencing significant growth and is now seeking an internal sales representative to join the internal merchant sales team.

The role is based in our Haywood, Manchester branch.

You will be dealing directly with merchants to create your own customer base and help grow the company sales.

The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.

The Role

  • Selling insulation, drylining, and associated products to merchant and buying group channels.
  • Maximizing opportunities from an existing ledger alongside business creation with new customers to achieve monthly sales and margin targets.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager and external sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into profitable orders.
  • Regular and prompt communication regarding existing orders, quotes, and other enquiries.
  • Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Hunger and determination to increase revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business through proactive outgoing phone calls.
  • Commercially astute with a demonstrable record of managing margins.
  • Effective relationship builder – externally (customers and suppliers) and internally.
  • Good product knowledge and capability to cross/up sell.
  • Effective sales knowledge of either insulation or drylining systems.
  • Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following sectors: national merchants, independent merchants, buying groups, main contractor, specialist sub-contractors.
  • Experience of holding a minimum annual sales budget of £1m p.a.
  • Exemplary work ethic and team player.
  • Strive for excellence in all sales and customer-related matters.
  • Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
  • At least 1-3 years' of sales experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
