Internal Sales Support

Internal Sales Support & Sales Office Coordinator

This role focuses on supporting an external sales team in a technical engineering environment, covering customer enquiries, order administration, quotation preparation, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming customer calls and sales enquiries
  • Process customer orders and prepare quotations
  • Maintain CRM records (quotes, customer contact details)
  • Support the sales team by following up on open opportunities to drive conversions
  • Liaise with suppliers and the purchasing team to obtain pricing
  • Provide customers with delivery updates and resolve post-order issues
  • Identify new business opportunities and prospect for potential customers
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards and procedures
  • Participate in product and sales training
  • Provide warehouse cover as needed, including:
    • Order picking
    • Packing and dispatch operations

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in sales support, internal sales, customer service, or technical sales
  • Experience preparing quotations and handling customer enquiries
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritising workloads effectively
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Self-motivated team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude
  • Comfortable working with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Health and safety-conscious
