Job Description

As an internal sales person you will be a key aspect of the sales team within the Livingston branch. You will be responsible for fostering good relationships with our customers, having a pleasant and amenable telephone manner. Having already gained a good knowledge of the renewables industry you will acquire good product knowledge and support our customers with any enquiries relating to products, orders and deliveries, plus any ad hoc queries. You will be targeted to gain new customers, understanding the customers needs and making effective sales pitches as well as maintaining and gaining further business from current customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate business development managers for further development and closure
  • Process sales orders
  • Following up on leads
  • Communicating with customers
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Preparing quotes
  • Updating the CRM system
  • Work closely other departments to ensure accurate orders are sent out for delivery
  • Solar design systems (training provided)
  • Customer service

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven internal sales experience
  • Track record of achieving targets
  • Strong phone presence and experience with cold calling
  • Experience with online ordering on CRM systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • A proactive can-do attitude
  • Team player
